Singers Charly & Nina thrilled their fans in Nyagatare District on Sunday. The concert was held at the popular Charton Bar from 8p.m till 11p.m.
The R&B duo, consisting of Charlotte Rulinda née Charly and Fatuma Muhoza aka Nina, are a household name, mostly because of their popular hit song Indoro, which they did with Burundian singer Big Farious.
Speaking to The New Times shortly after their performance, Nina, a native of Nyagatare located in the Eastern Province, said they were pleased to perform in her hometown and also showed gratitude to her fellow artistes for the support.
They performed to entertain their hometown crowds, and hoped to send them home with a message, a message of which they are living proof.
"Everything -- anything -- that you can imagine, that you feel that you want for yourself, is possible," said Nina.
They were joined on stage by the Agatako star DJ Pius, who also put up an extraordinary performance that left the crowds asking for more.
Clad in red and black outfit, DJ Pius took to the stage amid cheers from the excited crowds, belting out his famous songs Agatako, Never Let You Go, Imitobe, Agakayi, and Ntibyambaho. The divas capped the night with their tracks like Agatege, Bye Bye, Mwenyura and Indoro.
