It was always hard for Jean de Dieu Mbarushimana, a second year student of Kibogora Polytechnic in Nyamasheke District, to raise school fees and money for upkeep. However, all this could now change after Mbarushimana was announced the seventh winner of a motorcycle in the ongoing ‘Tunga’ Airtel promotion.
While receiving the motorcycle last week, Mbarushimana said he would use it for business to get some pocket money.
Mbarushimana said he had participated in the promo for only two weeks by the time he won the bike. "After I joined the promotion, I kept playing hard to get more points and increase my chances of winning,” he said.
Clementine Nyampinga, the Airtel trade and promotion manager, said the promotion has received huge response from customers over the past weeks. Nyampinga encouraged more customers to participate in the promotion to stand a chance to win and be able to change their livelihoods. Customers stand to win more motorcycles and a brand new car Suzuki Alto in the promotion that ends in two months.
