APR FC Team Manager Eric Ntazinda has expressed his satisfaction with the team's performance in the first round of the 2023/24 Primus National League.

APR finished the first round of the league sitting top of the log with 33 points, two points clear of Police who are second while Musanze FC and Rayon Sports are third and fourth respectively.
Ntazinda admits the club struggled to maximize its performance during the first round of the season, following massive squad overhaul during the July-August transfer window which left a host of foreign players join the army side marking the end home grown players only policy which had been in place for over a decade.

But he still emphasized on the positive outcomes achieved thus far.
"We&039;re really happy and satisfied with the results, considering the points we have collected [from the league so far] and the fact that we have built a new team with new coaching staff."
With the chemistry between the players and coaching staff improving, Ntyazinda anticipates to see the club achieve an even better performance in the second round of the league which begins in January.
"The chemistry between players and coaches is growing, so I'm looking forward to seeing positive outcomes in the near future."
More players on the radar
Ntazinda insists that APR FC still need to improve the squad in various departments.
After signing midfielder Elia Kategeya from Mukura VS and bringing back Thaiba Mbonyumwami who was on loan from Marine FC, the club is still eyeing more potential signings during the upcoming January transfer window.
"We are currently monitoring some players, but I can't go into details at the moment," he said.
Thierry Froger’s men will depart for Zanzibar on December 29, where they will participate in Mapinduzi Cup with their first game scheduled for January 1, 2024. The team will be using the competition to prepare their return to the league which resumes on January 12.
