I am not comfortable with the numerous manholes left uncovered within Kigali City and its suburbs. Leaving them open is very dangerous to city residents and also shows somebody is not doing thier work.

The most dangerous manhole is located right in front of Rubangura House, the busiest part of Kigali. The second is along Niboye road as you go down to the residential area near Saint Joseph’s school in Kicukiro.

During one of my night trips back home, from work, a gentleman’s leg slipped into it! I still wonder if he was not hurt, given the fact that these holes have a lot of metal in them. 

I can not help but imagine what it would be like if a child fell in such a hole.
