In anticipation of a huge turn up tonight, the Sauti Sol concert has been moved to Gikondo Expo Grounds in Kicukiro. The event was initially scheduled to take place at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village, best known as Camp Kigali.

On arrival in the country, yesterday morning, Sauti Sol held a news conference at Grand Legacy Hotel where the group promised a night to remember for those who will turn up for the concert. The music group comprises Willis Chimano, Savara Mudigi, Bien-Aimé Baraza and Polycarp Otieno.

The band, which is not new to the Rwandan audience, is known for catchy music and breathtaking stage performances. 

"It’s always a pleasure for us to come to Kigali simply because everything is different from other African countries. It’s like another European country but based in Africa, it’s clean and the people are hospitable,” Bien-Aimé Baraza, the band’s lead vocalist, said before adding, "This is why we also promise to give them the best from Africa and people should open their hearts because our music is from the heart.” 

"We are extremely happy to be here in Kigali. It’s our second home and we’ve been here four times, and this time round we are bringing the ‘Live and Die in Afrika Tour’ in Rwanda and we really promise the best,” noted Otieno.

The show is part of the band’s tour to promote their latest album titled, Live and Die in Afrika.

Other names on the bill are Neptunez band, Yvan Buravan, 3 Hills, S.A.M, DJ Miller, and DJ Toxxyk.

Entrance fee is Rwf10,000 for ordinary and Rwf400,000 for a VIP table of eight. 

The show starts at 6pm.
