Apostle Yoshua Ndagijimana Masasu, the head of Restoration Church, has urged women to focus more on their inner beauty rather than their outer beauty, saying it is the only way Christian values can be manifested.

Ndagijimana was speaking at the opening of an international women conference taking place at Evangelical Restoration Church in Masoro, which started on Sunday.

"Noble character is the highest recommendation women need in order to be approved by God and men but not just being beautiful on the outside,” said Ndagijimana.

He said this can be realised through dedication to the Lord as it is the only way for them to get inner transformation in order to become beautiful inside.

The weeklong conference under the theme, "The true beauty of a woman is her consecration to God,” drew international women pastors, including pastor Nadia Diallo, from Canada; Pastor Hadassah Mutabazi, from Goma, DR Congo; Pastor Mary Moliki, from South Africa; Apostle Trice Shumbusho, from Tanzania; and Pastor Habi Castanou, from Congo Brazzaville.

Pastor Lydia Umulisa Masasu said the conference is crucial for women since there are many worldly gears destructing them from what they were actually called by God to do here on earth.

"Today, you find that both born again and non-born again women focus on the outer beauty to be admired and appreciated by people.  And to accomplish their desire, it takes them much time and a lot of money,” says Umulisa.

Umulisa said women have focused more on looking beautiful for the wrong reasons which do not please God and that such women are far from the will of God.

"Women also concentrate on the outer beauty to attract lustful men that admire them and this kind of beauty leads them to sins like fornication,” she said.

"A woman who adorns after the outer beauty is led by the flesh yet the bible tells us that such a woman cannot please God. A woman who only looks after the outer beauty is characterised by pride, lust, extravagancy, selfishness, pretense, comparing oneself with others, jealousness and many others.”

Umulisa advised girls and women not to be slaves of beauty but endevour that their  behavior speaks  louder than what is just seen on the outside, be able to contribute economically, be good helpers to their husbands and become a blessing to their families and children.

Performances from gospel artists, including Aime Uwimana, Liliane Kabaganza, Patient Bizimana, Gaby Kamanzi, Serge Iyamuremye and Arsene Tuyi will be expected during the conference.

At the closure of the convention on September 18, the host and the entire team have organised a dinner that will treat Christians to an interactive evening with different apostles of God at Randison Blue Hotel.
