Dear Editor,

Rwanda reacted so well to Rose Kabuye’s arrest, by sending the Germany ambassador back to his country. This is one of the best decisions, we have made so far.

Sending of the French ambassador in 2006 was also timely. If Germany decided to arrest our official, basing on false accusations, then they are no better than the French.

Rwanda has issued warrants of arrest against genocide fugitives but the same countries are protecting them. Instead, they arrest and let them off the hook, just like that! A case, that happened in Germany months back.

This clearly implies that the two nations (Germany and France) would rather protect the 1994 Genocide fugitives than let justice prevail. We do not need any French or German interference in Rwandan affairs.

Rwanda is a sovereign state, with a history shaped on liberating themselves from the chains of colonialists who had divided the country.
