Uganda made history last week when it qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 38 years after beating Comoros 1-0 at Nambole national stadium in Kampala.
People started flocking the popular venue from as early as 6pm, and by the time the Neptunez band entertained the excited crowd at 8:40pm, the venue was already packed to capacity.
"Uganda oh yee! Kampala make some noise! We are here to pay tribute to Uganda Cranes that made it to the AFCON,” said the night’s MC Remmy Lubega, who is also the director of the Neptunez band.
KS Alpha, who was the guest artist at the party, wowed the crowd with his performance. The Ugandan Afro-reggae artiste performed almost all his songs, not forgetting the audience’s favourite Selector, Bilingi, and Mr. DJ.
The night also featured local artiste Jody, who used the opportunity to announce her latest video, Jye mbona tujyanye. The party was well attended and the artistes delivered incredible performances.
The Cranes fans, however, missed it when it came to the dress code. You could barely spot a person donning a Uganda Cranes jersey.
