SC Kiyovu have sacked head coach Antoine Rutsindura after the team’s poor start to the season. Rutsindura was shown the exit after a 2-0 defeat against Kibuye at Camp Kigali grounds on Sunday.

SC Kiyovu spokesman who also doubles as the club’s technical director Mudbi Byumvuhore told Times Sport yesterday that Rutsindura was sacked after a poor and unproductive period where Kiyovu has failed to win in the six leagye matches they’ve played this season.

"Since taking charge of Kiyovu last year, he could not win a game and it was frustrating for the club,” Byumvuhore said.

Rutsindura’s assistant Fabrice Ndayisaba now takes over as interim coach. However, SC Kiyovu is unsettled following the former administration led by Louis Gasamagera whose term in office expired in September.

Since September, the club has failed to hold elections to replace the former administration and this has played a big role in the club’s poor start to this year’s season.

However, an interim committee was recently appointed to guide the club in this hectic period as elections have been set for January, 2009.

SC Kiyovu, the oldest football club in the club is fighting a losing battle against relegation after yet another defeat.
