Group A: Burundi, Kenya, Uganda & Zanzibar
Group B: Ethiopia, Rwanda, & Tanzania
Rwanda women national football team will face Tanzania and Ethiopia in the group stages of the 2016 Cecafa Women’s Championships scheduled to take place in Jinja, Uganda, from September 11-20.
According to a statement released after Monday’s draw of the Council of Eastern and Central African Football Association (Cecafa), held in the Ugandan capital of Kampala, Rwanda were drawn in Group B alongside Ethiopia and Tanzania, while hosts Uganda, Burundi, Kenya and Zanzibar will tussle it out in Group A.
The Secretary General of Cecafa, Nicholas Musonye, confirmed that seven countries will take part in the tournament.
Rwanda will begin their campaign against Tanzania in Group B on September 12 before winding up their group campaign against Ethiopia on September 14.
