The 20-year-old beauty queen said she is honoured to be the one representing the country at the beauty contest.
The beauty pageant had earlier been scheduled for August 21 but was postponed to October 1.
According to the organisers, the change in schedule was due to other major events that coincided with the former.
"We decided to postpone the beauty pageant to a later date because there were several festivals taking place at the same time and it was a bit difficult to get sponsors to facilitate our event,” said Morgan Milcent the key organiser of the event.
This will be the second edition of the pageant and the crowned winner will also get a brand new car among other benefits that come along with the title.
She will also work with the Miss Orient Foundation to execute its vision through seminars, campaigns, visits to girls’ schools and other international organisations to educate the public on issues concerning girls like prostitution, lesbianism, drug addiction, internet addiction, cultism and child labour in different countries.
