Dear Editor,
I believe it is important that all the East African Community (EAC) member states consider issuing national identity cards for their nationals.

I am not saying this simply because my country (Rwanda) has already provided electronic identity cards for her nationals, but the entire EAC countries need to issue these cards for easy identification of its nationals.

On the other hand, EAC countries should also consider accepting nationals to use driving permits from any member state.
