Senegalese striker Alon Paul Gomis is on the verge of joining Rwandan topflight team Rayon Sports, with his arrival in Kigali on the morning of Friday, December 21 marking a significant step in the process.
The 29-year-old is poised to ink a six-month contract with the Blues.

Upon touching down in Kigali, Gomis received a warm welcome by Rayon's Spokesperson, Roben Ngabo and fans’ club president Claude Muhawenimana.
With Rayon Sports fighting for success in both the league and the Peace Cup this season, the addition of Gomis is anticipated to bolster the team's prospects.
The Senegalese international is scheduled to undergo training with his new teammates for a few days under the guidance of the coaching staff, to assess his fitness.
Gomis' arrival follows that of Guinean striker Alsény Camara, who recently signed a six-month deal with the club.
As of the conclusion of the first round of the league, Rayon Sports was in the fourth position with 27 points, trailing six points behind the league leaders, APR FC.
