After his successful "Arthur and Kansiime Live” show in Kigali last month, he is set for another mega show at Kampala Serena Hotel in Uganda on Friday.
Nkusi is looking forward to cracking ribs in a comedy show dubbed "Africa Laughs III’, the biggest comedy show in East and Central Africa that will feature some of Africa’s finest stand-up comedians.
"Africa Laughs is a very big event every comedian would wish to be part of. People should just be ready to laugh, because I have been looking for such an opportunity to entertain people and share experience with other comedians from across Africa,” Nkusi told The New Times.
Nkusi will perform alongside some of Africa’s upcoming and seasoned stars that include Bovi from Nigeria, Eddie Kadi from Congo, Ndumiso Lindi from South Africa, Carl Joshua Ncube from Zimbabwe, and Eric Omondi from Kenya.
Uganda’s Anne Kansiime, Alex Muhangi, Dual Madrat & Chico, Patrick Salvado, Teacher Mpamire, Napoleon Emmah and Ronnie McVex are also set to perform.
The previous editions of the event were hosted by Nigerian comedian Basket Mouth but this time round Uganda’s Patrick Idringi, aka Salvado, will be hosting, and the show will be spiced up by live performances from Myko Ouma and the Janzi band.
Other gigs
After Africa Laughs, Nkusi will head to Mwanza in Tanzania on September 17, where he will join a line-up of stand-up comedians in a show called Funny Fellas that will be hosted by Tanzanian comedian and Big Brother Africa-Hotshots winner Idris Sultan.
The 25-year-old, who doubles as an actor and dancer, will also make his Brussels premiere on September 24, along with his Comedy Knight.
"We realised that there was a need to expand the Comedy Knight beyond Rwanda,” Nkusi said. "Often the Rwandan Diaspora invite local musicians to perform there but this time we want to show them that Rwanda has talented comedians who can also deliver great entertainment,” he added.
The show in Brussels is organised in partnership with Rwanda’s Belgium-based Flora Nyirimbabazi, alias DJ Princess Flor.
With his recent crowd thrilling performances, both at home and abroad, Nkusi’s star can only continue to shine.
