Rwanda Volleyball Federation (FRVB) is planning to organise a circuit beach volleyball tournament from September 17-18 in Rubavu at Palm Beach.

According to the Volleyball federation executive Secretary, Christian Hatumimana, the event will be used to scout for players that will represent Rwanda in the international tournaments.

"We want to give a chance to many players so that we have a large pool from which to pick representatives to the Zone five Qualifiers. Previously we have picked from the top teams,” Hatumimana said.

Participants will pay Rwf10,000 to play in the event. The competition will have the women, men and veterans categories.

Those who have confirmed participation include 2012 junior African beach championship gold medal winners Denyse Nzayisenga, Charlotte Mutatsimpundu and Seraphine Mukantambara and Judith Hakizimana.

Others who are expected to participate include Flavien Ndamukunda, Pierre Kwizera Marshal, Patrick Kavalo and Olivier Ntagengwa.
