Last week, I read about Kenya with envy. Senior politicians Daniel Arap Moi, President Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru’s Kenyatta formed a coalition to save national resources in unnecessary power struggles which have characterised most African countries.

By doing so, Kenyans are showing political maturity which it has exhibited right from the time of independence. Kenyan politicians have always been cautious and tolerant when approaching political issues.

This explains why it has had only three presidents since independence in 1963. If all African countries, especially Rwanda and Uganda, could learn from Kenya, all the anarchy, wars and political disillusionment on the continent would be history.
