I would like to thank The New Times for alerting the public about the cheating taxi operators. Sincerely, it is very unfair that taxi operators hike fares from Rwf170 to Rwf300 simply because this is during rush hours when mostly the working class are trying to get home.

I would therefore like to take this opportunity to ask Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Agency (RURA) to investigate the suspected cheats to bring order in the transport sector.

As we wait for the operation to take effect, I urge passengers to report these incidents to RURA. This is the only way to protect our economy from speculators.
