The U-19 national cricket team has traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to take part in this year’s triangular cricket tournament that is slated to run from August 18 -23.
The U-19 national cricket team has traveled to Nairobi, Kenya to take part in this year’s triangular cricket tournament that is slated to run from August 18 -23.
Head coach Davis Turinawe’s men are expected to perform well in this tournament after undergoing good preparations. The same team recently beat the reigning champions of T20 Computer Challengers.
"These are the same players that eliminated Challengers out of the competition and so we expect them to reciprocate that same performance in Nairobi,” said Turinawe.
He added that this tournament will help the players get international experience.
The tournament will attract three countries including Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
The 12 players selected include Ochide Tuyisenge, John Bosco Uwizeye, Staron Ishimwe, Oscar Ntege, Eric Niyomugabo, Zappy Bimenyimana, Adelin Tuyizere, John Major Mugisha, David Uwimana, Prince Uwimanishaka, Charles Karasira and Chancellier Nzabarinda.
