The primary pupils of Green Hills Academy donated to their fellow pupils in Mbyo primary school in Nyamata, Mayange sector. They scholastic materials as an initiative of the kids fundraising materials from their parents.

The primary pupils of Green Hills Academy donated to their fellow pupils in Mbyo primary school in Nyamata, Mayange sector. They scholastic materials as an initiative of the kids fundraising materials from their parents.

Scholastic materials included bags, mathematical sets, pens and pencils, textbooks and writing books worth Frw2 million. The teacher in charge of Pastoral Care Team for Green Hills Shamila Buhura, said that, the arrangement was done in an effort to reach out and provide meaningful support to those less fortunate.

"We chose Mbyo primary school because it is the newest in the sector of Muyange with deprived pupils,” Buhura added.

During the child-to-child gift giving at Mbyo primary school, a pupil from Green Hill academy Kesly Kayiteshonga P.6 gave a moving speech encouraging fellow pupils to be more serious with their studies.

"We from Green Hill decided to collect school materials so that you may continue going to school and we want you to know that education is the pillar of our country. So we encourage you to never ever give up schooling because we are the leaders of tomorrow,” Kayiteshonga said.

Green hill Academy has been visiting several other schools, donating to those that are in dire need.
