Singer Knowless, 25, tied the knot with her producer Clément Ishimwe, 28, at an invite-only ceremony held in the beautiful gardens adjacent Golden Tulip Hotel in Nyamata town, Bugesera District on Sunday.
Knowless looked gorgeous in a white wedding gown, while Clément and his entourage looked so sharp in black suites.
It was a glamorous and spectacular wedding reception attended by several guests, who included high profile personalities like the Minister for Defence, James Kabarebe and his family, former Prime Minister Pierre Damien Habumuremyi, MP Edouard Bamporiki and the Director General of Work Force Development Authority (WDA), Jerome Gasana. Also present at the three-hour wedding ceremony were local celebrities and media personalities.
The groom and his best man were the first to arrive at the venue and were later joined by the stunning bride and entourage, who attracted ululations from the guests.
The newlywed couple and their guests were entertained by Micho band, KINA Music artistes (Dream Boys, Christopher and Tom Close), as well as music legend Abdul Makanyaga.
Entertainment was in plenty—so were the drinks and food. The first dance performance was by the bride’s dancers in Indila’s rendition—Love Story, and Ko nashize, a single by Knowless.
After the performance, the family representatives (from the groom and bride’s side) were invited to bless the ceremony before food was served.
Tom Close also did not miss the chance to perform his popular song— Umunyarwandakazi, and Knowless’ rendition, Baramushaka, a beautiful tribute to the couple.
Friends and relatives also paid moving tributes to the stars in the video that was screened at the venue; wishing them good luck in their marriage.
Fans shared their excitement online, and passed on their congratulations to the couple.
After keeping their relationship under the wraps for five years since 2011, Knowless and Clément made their relationship public during their engagement on May 26.
"We know that you’ve been dating for the past five years but you’re now husband and wife,” Clément’s father said. He asked the couple to put God above everything and together with his wife (Clément’s mother), presented a gift of two Bibles to newlywed couple, among other gifts.
The KINA Music boss popped the big question to the Te Amo singer, fondly known by her childhood nickname, "Kabebe”, on May 26. Later, the couple exchanged their vows in both the civil and traditional ceremony on July 31.
