RE: "Diaspora students urged to use their skills to develop the country” (The New Times, July 31).
The Ministry of Youth and ICT is always proactively promoting initiatives geared towards developing the country. One such initiative is motivating Diaspora students to use their skills to achieve the high ideals and aspirations of President Paul Kagame, for this great nation.
Diaspora students in India—and I am sure in various other countries—are doing a great job in promoting trade, tourism, investments and even the rich Rwandan culture in their respective communities.
This has prompted me to explore avenues of developing a Diaspora right here in Mumbai—the business capital of the country.
With the immense support and encouragement from the Ministry of Youth and ICT, it is my firm belief that before the end of this year, we shall be able to launch the Rwandan Diaspora in Mumbai, which will comprise a sizable number of interns from Remarkable Rwanda.
