Both Pépinière and Interforce FC edged closer to the second division league semi-final after registering wins in their quarter-final first leg ties played on Sunday.
Pepiniere won 2-1 away at Sorwathe FC in Kinihira while Interforce beat Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle 2-1 at FERWAFA ground in Remera —the two will be firm favourites to complete the job in the second leg on Wednesday.
In other matches, Kirehe and Vision FC played out a 1-all draw while United Stars and Etoile de l’est also settled for a 1-all draw, leaving these two respective ties finally balanced.
The eventual winners qualify to the semi-final round, which will also be played over two legs, with the first leg scheduled for July 31 and the second leg on August 3.
The final will be played on August 7 and the two finalists will be promoted to the topflight division league for the 2016/17 season, to take the places of the relegated Rwamagana City and AS Muhanga.
