Handball league title hopefuls APR will be seeking to reclaim the top spot when they visit Ecole Secondaire Kigoma today at Kigoma ground in Ruhango district.

The military side, seeking to add on their maiden league title won in 2009, stormed the summit of the national handball league table standing for the first time this season following a 35-28 win over GS Rambura last month before being leapfrogged by rivals and reigning champions, Police.

Two-time defending champions Police, are currently on top with 36 points, two ahead of second-placed APR, who need a win against Kigoma to return to the top.

After today’s game, APR will be left with five games against University of Rwanda Huye campus, University of Rwanda College of Education, Kibogora Polytechnic, Nyakabanda and Police.
