Jean de Dieu Masumbuko’s women league defending champions beat Ruhango 3-0 (25-21, 25-13 and 25-20), St Aloys de Rwamagana 3-0, 25-15, 25-16 and 25-22 before aiming for the scalp of closest challengers and former champions, APR in 3-0 (25-20, 25-22 and 25-21) win.
"It is good to always win games because it boosts confidence, but our wish is to remain unbeaten for the whole campaign,” said RRA captain, Judith Hakizimana.
Meanwhile, Viateur Sibomana’s APR continued a poor run after losing all three games. The former champions were beaten by St Aloys de Rwamagana 3-2, Ruhango High School 3-1 before going down to RRA, 3-0.
The playoffs will continue over the weekend in Rwamagana.
RRA lead the table with 54 points ahead of second-placed St Aloys de Rwamagana, who have 32 points, same as APR while Ruhango are on fourth position with 24.
