Reigning champions Police Handball Club on Saturday defeated Nyakabanda on Saturday at Kimisagara ground to reclaim top spot in the national league.
The two-time defending champions defeated seventh-placed Nyakabanda 46-22 to leapfrog archrivals and closest title challengers, APR at the top of the table with 36 points. Police’s Fidele Hagenimana scored the game high 11 goals.
As it stands, Ecole Secondaire Kigoma and College Inyeramihigo occupy third and fourth positions, each with 28 points respectively while University of Rwanda, College of Education are fifth with 23 points.
Groupe Scholaire Rambura and University of Rwanda, Huye Campus occupy the bottom two positions with nine and seven points respectively.
