Mukura Victory Sports left back Celestin Ndayishimiye is in talks with last year’S Peace Cup winners Police FC to join them at the end of the season.
Ndayishimiye’s contract with the Huye-based side expires later this season.
But Rayon Sports, who won the Peace Cup after beating archrivals APR 1-0 on Monday, are also believed to be monitoring the player as they looking for replacement for Emmanuel Imanishimwe, who is set to join Kenyan premier league side AFC Leopards.
Ndayishimiye,21, had moved to Mukura from the SC Kiyovu last season. "If I sign for Police, it will be good for me because I will be joining the best club in Rwanda, but everything is subject to ongoing talks,” said the Amavubi left back.
"I’m still in talks with them,” he added.
Last month, Police FC sacked head coach Andre Casa Mbungo after a run of poor results that ensured the club will end the season empty-handed.
With two matches to wrap up their season, the law enforcers are in fifth on the league table.
