During the meeting, members of the general assembly also agreed on introducing two major tournaments-the Rwanda Cup and the Rwanda Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Rwanda Super Cup tournament will feature the Rwanda Cup winners and the Rwanda Basketball League champions.
According to Ferwaba, Rwanda Super Cup tournament will be played in a single-game format, where the winner will be decided after the 40-minute game.
In a related development, Ferwaba also approved two more teams in the first division as well as another five in the second division.
