Rwanda Revenue Authority women volleyball club have maintained their unbeaten run this season after winning all their three games of the playoffs on Friday at Indangaburezi SS in Ruhango District.
The league defending champions defeated hosts Ruhango VC 3-1 (25-8, 25-18, 21-25 and 25-18) in the first match before beating St Aloys de Rwamagana (25-13, 25-17 and 25-17) in the second game.
Later on the same day, Christophe Mudahinyuka’s table leaders overcame archrivals APR VC 3-1—RRA dominated the opening two sets 25-14 and 25-22, before APR claimed the third set 25-22.
But the reigning champions proved why they remain unbeaten on the local scene since the start of last season, by winning the fourth set 25-16, to stay well on course to retain the league title.
In other matches, APR lost to St Aloys de Rwamagana 3-1 before the army side beat Ruhango High school 3-0 while St Aloys lost to Ruhango 3-1.
The playoffs will continue today at the National Paralympics Committee Gymnasium and Amahoro indoor stadium.
RRA leads the table with 41 points ahead of second-placed APR, with 15 points but the army side can reduce that gap if they manage to get maximum points from the remaining nine matches, and pray that the former lose their matches.
