This Saturday, beer enthusiasts are in for a treat as a Beer Tasting Festival takes place at Nyamata picnic grounds in Bugesera district.

 "Beer tasting is a way of introducing and promoting beer Made in Rwanda to expatriates who haven’t had the chance to taste our beer. It’s also a great excuse to get together, spend a day out with family and friends” said Nellie Ingabire, the organizer of the event.

It’s the first beer tasting festival to take place in Rwanda since 2012 and Ingabire says it’s now going to be an annual event.

Revelers to the event will be allowed to carry their favorite drinks (Local or international) to enjoy while the organizers will be serving snacks and grilled meat. Don’t forget your picnic basket with drinks, a picnic mat or lawn chairs for your comfort.

The festival kicks-off at 12pm and ends at 6pm. Entrance is Rwf 1,000 only.
