Team Rwanda cyclist Camera Hakizimana was named the best combative attacker during stage seven on Tuesday at the on-going 2016 Tour of Colombia that started on June 13 and expected to end 26, across the South American.

The combative stage winner means the Rwandan was the most aggressive rider during that stage.

Despite finishing on the 98th position, Hakizimana was identified as the most aggressive from Caldas to Manizales, covering a distance of 177.9km.

Meanwhile, with six more tough stages to be completed, Team Rwanda riders: Hakizimana, Samuel Mugisha, Jean Bosco Nsengimana and Les Amis Sportif duo of Joseph Areruya Jean Claude Uwizeye have posted mixed results since they started.

Both Areruya and 2015 Tour of Rwanda winner, Nsengimana, were trailing at the 131 and 132 positions respectively going into stage eight from Stage 8 Manizales to El Tambo (124.9k).

Uwizeye as well as youth rider Mugisha did not finish Stage 7, according to the stage classification results.

Colombian rider Mauricio Ortega won stage seven and had earlier seized the time trial to the top of the Palms from Medellin to win stage six (17.5km).

Spanish rider Oscar Sevilla has won stage two, Lucas Sebastian Haedo from Argentina has so far also won two stages (3 & 5), while Sevilla’s teammate, Juan Sebastian Molano claimed stage 4 victory.

The riders still have six more stages to cover a total distance of 998 km before concluding at Stage 13 from Sopo to Tunja.
