The chase for this year’s national handball league title rages on as the two front-runners Police and APR take to the court today against UR-CE and GS Rambura respectively.

Table leaders and defending champions Police, with 33 points, have a mountain to climb when they host third-placed University of Rwanda College of Education at Kimisagara ground.

However, head coach Antione Ntabanganyimana is confident his side, which remains unbeaten in the leaguein two years, has what it requires stretching the winning streak over their local rivals.

"They (UR-CE) are a good team and often pose a tough challenge but I believe in my boys and hopefully we shall get the three points,” he said.

Meanwhile their bitter rivals APR, with 31 points, will be aiming to keep pressure on the four-time winners when they face bottom side, Groupe Scholaire Rambura in Nyabihu district.
