APR handball club coach Anaclet Bagirishya has said that he has many lessons to take from their 37-29 win over Ecole Secondaire Urumuri in a league match played on Saturday at Birambo ground in Karongi district.
With the help of their attacker Gilbert ‘Camarade’ Mbonyishuti, who scored the game high 16 goals, the military side moved to 31 points, two points behind table leaders, Police, who defeated Kibogora Polytechnic 33-19 later on Sunday. Both teams still have five games left to the end of the season.
Speaking to Times Sport, Bagirishya said that despite winning the game which was their priority, his side has some areas to rectify in their next five fixtures.
"I think we played a good game and we’re happy to have won but we have not yet reached our full potential, we made some mistakes, which we need to rectify, we are not very good at defending which is a very crucial technique in this sport,” he said.
