According to the press release from CAF, the preliminary round, first leg of both the Champions league and Confederation Cup competitions will start on January 30-February 1 with the second leg due in a fortnight.
The round 16 of the first leg of both competitions are set for 13-15 March and the second leg matches are set for April 3-5.
The round 8 matches of both competitions will be played from April 17-19 with the second leg due on May 1-3.
The group stages of both the champions league and confederation cp will be held from July 17 to September 20.
The semi-finals of both competitions will be played from October 2-4(first leg) with the second leg due on October 16-18.
The Champions league finals are set for October 30-November 1 with the second leg set for November 6-8.
The Confederations Cup finals are set for November 27-29(first leg) with the second leg due on December 4-6.
Meanwhile, Rwanda’s football governing body, Ferwafa will fund the national clubs’ participation fees to next year’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) continental competitions.
Atraco will represent Rwanda in the 13th edition of the CAF Champions League while APR will feature in the 6th edition of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The two clubs are authorized to pay the $300(each) participation fee ahead of the registration deadline set for November 30.
However, all clubs must send in their team squads not later than December 15 according to a circular sent to all CAF member federations in September.
Both APR and Atraco will use either Amahoro or Nyamirambo stadiums in hosting their continental fixtures.
The Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc) will be responsible to solicit for funds for the clubs’ transport costs.
Last year, APR and Rayon Sport failed to go past the preliminary stages of the Champions league and Confederation Cup competitions respectively.
