Fatuma Nina Muhoza is a member of the girl duo Charly & Nina, known for their hit Indoro. Muhoza rose to fame when she represented Rwanda in Tusker Project Fame 4 (TPF4). Sharon Kantengwa caught up with the singer who shared a few things that people might not know about her.

1. What is the first thing you do after you wake up?

I say my prayers.

2. Craziest childhood memory?

When I broke my dad’s cigarette, I received the worst punishment.

3. High heels or flats?

Definitely high heels. I love that they emphasize femininity.

4. Are you a bathroom singer?

I’m not. I am instead a bathroom music listener. I listen to T.D Jakes’ music a lot.

5. What is your most valued possession?

My Bible. I read it every day.

6. What are you most afraid of?

Regrets. I think I’m a perfectionist.

7.Favorite clothing in your wardrobe?

My dresses.

8. What would your friends say they appreciate about you?

My honesty. I know that about myself too.

9. If you tripped on stage, what would you do?

I would just get up and keep singing.

10. What is your favourite song to belt out for karaoke?

‘I wanna love you’ by Bob Marley.

11. Favourite quote?

‘When people show you who they are, believe them’ by Maya Angelou.

12. Second hand or brand new?

Brand new.

13. Perfect marriage proposal.

One that takes place in South Africa or Brazil.

14. Who inspires you?

My president, Oprah, Iyanla Vanzant, Diane Von (House of DVF owner)

15. What is that one popular track that you don’t like?

‘All of me’ by John Legend. It’s not popular anymore but I never liked that song and it was crazy popular.

16. Ideal man: Neat or shaggy?

A net guy off course.

17. Books or the Internet?

I equally do both actually.

18. Who is the first person you call when you receive good news?

My sister Rukia.

19: What is the best thing about your life right now?

Contributing to the music industry in my country.

20: Your dream car?

A Mercedes Benz- wagon or cayenne.

21. Would you go on a blind date?

I wouldn’t. I value my time and so I wouldn’t go on a date with someone I don’t know.
