Rwanda Energy Group (REG) women begin their FIBA Africa Women Basketball League (AWBL) campaign on Monday December 11, when they take on Cameroonian representatives Overdose.

REG Women and Overdose are pooled in Group B alongside ASPAC of Benin Inter Club (Angola) and Equity Bank (Kenya).
While the Rwandan representatives aim for positive start against Overdose in the second match of the opening day, new signing Tiffany Mitchell stands out as one of player promising to make headlines on her debut appearance at the competition.
"This is my first time visiting and playing in Africa and I am glad to have this opportunity to represent Rwanda. The objective in every match I play is to win and we have good players here who will help us achieve that."

"We are still working on some areas as it is our first time together as a unit. At first it may not look pretty but I am confident we can work through this and pull it together for a result," she added.
