Rayon Sports captain Eric ‘Bakame’ Ndayishimiye insists that the ‘Blues’ still believe they can win the National Football League title, despite failing to take the opportunity of going top of the league on Tuesday.

The Blues were held to a 1-all draw against visiting Gicumbi at Kigali Regional Stadium on Tuesday leaving them two points adrift of APR.

APR extended that lead to 5 points last evening after beating Kiyovu 2-0.

Striker Antoine Dominic Ndayishimiye netted the opening goal for Gicumbi FC in the 78th minute before Malian forward Ismailia Diarra equalised through a penalty in the 83rd minute.

"Although we have not been consistent in the last few games, the gap is not big considering the number of games remaining. We still believe that we can win the title,” the former APR custodian said.

Rayon have a game in hand. Rayon Sports last won the title during the 2012/13 season when the club was under French coach Didier Gomes da Rosa.
