Rayon Sports head coach Djuma Irambona Masudi is confident that his side will secure 21 points in the remaining 7 games to end the National Football League, which will see his side lift the trophy.

Rayon Sports will host Gicumbi today at Kigali Regional Stadium, after playing a goalless draw against Sunrise on Saturday as Champions APR walloped relegation-bound AS Muhanga 3-0 on Sunday at Muhanga Regional Stadium to return to the top of the league.

"It was a frustrating result. The first half we played very well, but failed to score goals. In the second half we had a lot of chances which we did not use, but we are focusing on the next matches,” Masudi said.

He added: "It’s not over; we still have seven games remaining so we have to fight until the end of the season. We want to get all 21 points.”

Meanwhile, goals from Yannick Mukunzi, Issa Bigirimana and Patrick Sibomana handed APR FC maximum points to extend their points tally to 55 in 24 rounds of matches played so far.

"I am happy with the way my players are responding in the game, but we looked tired because of many games in few days… we have to continue fighting because the league is still open,” Nizar Khanfir said after the game.

The Blues who have 52 points have an advantage to still reclaim the top spot should they win their game in hand against Etincelles FC.

In other matches, third-placed Mukura VS hammered Espoir FC 5-1. At Mumena, SC Kiyovu leapfrogged Police FC to fifth spot after a 2-1 win over the law enforcers.

Elsewhere, Etincelles FC beat visitors Amagaju FC 2-0 at Stade Umuganda while Rwamagana City shocked hosts Gicumbi FC with a 2-1 win.
