RE: "Govt mulls stiff debt recovery measures” (The New Times, May 9).

How can you deny children the right to education because of their parents ‘debt? It seems a bit unfair, no?

Completion of a transaction is a different matter. We will ensure that that parent denounces the habit of choosing to pay what they owe to the school where their children get good education and refuse to pay what they owe to the public treasury which gives their children safety, security, schools, hospitals, roads etc.

We will work with the parent to invest in both.
