ATRACO striker Andre Lomami a.k.a Petit Nonda is currently on trials at Egyptian club El-Itthad El-Iskandary.

Atraco vice president Issa Ngenzi confirmed the development yesterday, saying that the striker would be undergoing the trials at El-Itthad for two weeks.

"We believe he will pass the trials. We shall definitely talk with them (El-Itthad El-Iskandary) if he success (with the trials) but as for now, we are waiting to see what happens after those two weeks,” Ngenzi revealed.

If Lomami passes the trials, he would become the first Rwandan player to feature for a top Egyptian club.

The 23-year-old striker has largely been a squad a player since joining the taxi-men club last season after being released by APR along with several other first team players including current Rayon Sports captain Jimmy Gatete.

El-Itthad El-Iskandary based in Alexandria is one of the biggest football teams in Egypt. They’re trailing on fifth position with 13 points in seven league fixtures played in this season’s Egyptian football league.

Meanwhile in the local league, Mukura recovered from last weekend’s shock home defeat to Amagaju to beat Marines 1-0 away at Umuganda stadium on Sunday.

Daddy Birori earned Mukura’s maximum points to deny Marines the chance of going top of the league table.

Marines remain on third position with 10 points while Mukura climbed to fourth position with eight.

Relegation battling SC Kiyovu earned only their second point of the season as they held Police to a 1-all draw at Camp Kigali ground.

Iledebrande Nshuti goal cancelled Jean-Claude Bigirimana’s first half strike for Police to take them on level points Jeunesse who both have two points in five matches.

Police moved to seventh position with six points.
