Amavubi also maintained their 21st position on the continental level and second in the CECAFA region, behind Uganda Cranes (72), third is Kenya (116) followed by Burundi (122), Ethiopia is 123rd while Tanzania is 129th and sixth in CECAFA region.
Rwanda will seek to improve the ranking this month when they play Senegal on May 28 in an international friendly before hosting Mozambique in the 2017 AFCON Group H qualifier on June 4.
There have been no big changes this month as the world’s top 53 countries remained unchanged, with Argentina, Belgium, Chile, Colombia and Germany maintaining the top five spots.
Likewise, on the African continent, the top 28 countries maintained their positions both at the World and continental level, where Algeria (33rd), Cote d’Ivoire (34th), Ghana (38th), Senegal (43rd) and Egypt (44th) occupying the first five places.
