Rwanda international Jacques Tuyisenge has continued to prove his worth in Kenyan football after guiding Gor Mahia to the semi-finals of the ‘Top Eight’ tournament on Monday.
The striker, the league’s most expensive player, scored the winner in the 77th minute to help Gor see off Ushuru 1-0 in a bruising encounter. In the last four, Gor will face Tusker FC, while the other semi-final will pit Muhoroni Youth against Ulinzi Stars.
The former Police FC skipper has scored five goals since joining the reigning Kenyan Premier League champions after leading Amavubi to the quarter-finals of the 2016 CHAN finals tournament staged in Rwanda from January 16 through February 7.
Gor Mahia are sixth on the Kenyan league table with 17 points, five points behind leaders Mathare United.
