Public Service and Labour minister Judith Uwizeye (L) chats with Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi at Amahoro Stadium during May Day celebrations yesterday.
The focus of this year’s celebration was "promoting productive work by supporting young entrepreneurs.” The celebration began with the ministry launching a ‘Labour Week’ on April 25, during which campaigns about encouraging the youth to create jobs was run.
Under the second Economic Development and Poverty Reduction Strategy, Rwanda seeks to create at least 200,000 off-farm jobs annually. (Timothy Kisambira)
