Patriots Basketball Club will be looking for a crucial double victory this weekend when they play U18 Boys Team Friday night and University of Rwanda College of Arts and Social Sciences (UR-CASS) on Sunday.
In the second season in the national league, Patriots coach Henry Mwinuke is optimistic on his team’s chances of winning both games, which would take their win ratio to 13:2 this season.
Fresh from humiliating former champions APR 78-37 last Friday, the Tanzania-born trainer says, "We are playing two important games this weekend, they are both must wins if we truly want to win the league, and we don’t want to make any mistake at this point.”
Mwinuke will be hoping for his star players like; Ali Kubwimana Kazingufu, point guard Aristide Mugabe and youngster Walter Nkurunziza, turn up for both games in good form.
Kagugu-based Patriots, who have played three games less than all their closest title challengers, are in fourth place in the league table standings with 24 points, four behind leaders Espoir and second-placed IPRC-Kigali. IPRC-South are third with 27 points.
