Mukura Victory Sports club management has given leading goal scorer Muhadjir Hakizimana a last warning over alleged misconduct.

The 22-year-old midfielder has been a key player for Huye-based side after scoring nine goals in fifteen games of the first round which inspired Godfroid Okoko’s side to the top of the league table before a short break.

Speaking to Times Sport in an exclusive interview, Mukura’s Secretary General Hamdan Habimana said the attacking midfielder has flouted the club’s rules and regulations several times including leaving the team’s camp without permission.

"We decided to suspend him because that is something we (Mukura) cannot tolerate. However, on Tuesday he wrote an apology letter accepting his misconducts, which he had earlier denied and was allowed to return for training,” said Habimana

He further noted that, "However he has to prove to the us (officials), the coaching staff and his fellow players that he has settled and is determined to change that reputation if he is to claim his position in the starting lineup.”

The former Sport Club Kiyovu and Etincelles FC attacking midfielder comes from a family of well-known footballers such as Haruna Niyonzima, the current Amavubi captain and Young Africans (Tanzania), the former APR FC Amavubi midfielder Abdul Sibomana and former Etincelles player Député Singirankabo.
