Charity Cricket Club will face archrivals White Clouds in this year’s V.R NAIDU Twenty20 women tournament today at Kicukiro cricket ground.
Cathia Uwamahoro was in impeccable form as she powered the defending champions to a comfortable 97 run victory against Queens of Victory CC last weekend en-route to the final.
Charity won the toss and elected to bat first, knocked a score of 141 runs in 20 overs, with Uwamahoro scoring an unbeaten 90 runs off 55 balls and Claudine Uwase knocked 18 runs off 32 balls.
In the second innings, Queens of Victory chased the run and managed to put only 44 runs all out.
Charity CC won all their preliminary round matches. Their other wins came against She-Guards CC, Fawe Girls and White Clouds, a team they are going to play on the final. White Clouds only managed to win Fawe Girls, Queens of Victory and She-Guards.
"I am delighted by the way we have played in this tournament, the players are very confident and so determined to win the title this year,” said Charity captain, Claudine Uwase.
