AS Kigali head coach Eric Nshimyimana will be seeking for a win against defending champions APR FC when the two rivals clash on match day 15 of the National Football League at Kigali Regional Stadium today.

AS Kigali head coach Eric Nshimyimana will be seeking for a win against defending champions APR FC when the two rivals clash on match day 15 of the National Football League at Kigali Regional Stadium today.
As APR FC and AS Kigali lock horns in the tricky encounter of the day, Police FC will be playing away to relegation battling side, Etincelles FC at Umuganda Stadium.
On Sunday, APR FC was held to a goalless draw by Marines FC while Police FC defeated AS Kigali 1-0 at Kicukiro stadium, the lone goal was netted by striker Dany Usengimana.
"We need to win the game against APR because we have to stay in contention for the title. We know APR is a big team with a very good squad, but we are confident that we can win and close the gap at the top,” the head coach of AS Kigali said before adding, "We want to have a good result on Wednesday before going into the second round. We have already forgotten about that loss against Police, and now we are concentrating on the match against APR FC, which is going to be even tougher.”
For APR head coach Nizar Khanfir, It will be a very tricky game.
" We cannot assume that we will win, but we have got to be confident because AS Kigali are doing well and are one of the teams with a chance to win the league. We have prepared for the game and we believe that we will do something better. It is not an easy game but we have to be positive and look for the win,” Khanfir said.
Elsewhere Etincelles will host Police at Umuganda Stadium.
APR FC is third with 31 points, one point behind joint table leaders Rayon Sports and Mukura VS. Marines are 11th with 17 points. Etincelles and AS Muhanga are bottom of the league standings with 7 and 4 points respectively.
