Vedaste Kimenyi has been elected as new president of the Rayon Sports Association, replacing Robert Ngarambe. He was elected on Sunday during the extra ordinary General Assembly held at Alpha Palace Hotel.

The newly elected president has promised to revamp the club.
Speaking to Times Sport, Kimenyi promised to focus on the development of Rayon Sports Association to form strong base.
"My first priority will be to look for sponsorship by building a solid foundation for a better future for the association. I want to start by interesting members across the country to give their best for the association so that we can have income,” he said.
Kimenyi also noted that, "We need to give the players everything needed to improve their level and also to have more competitions. We want to build a strong Rayon Sports Association.”
Rayon Sports Association includes Rayon Sports Football Club, Rayon Sports Volleyball Club and the association is keen on forming teams in other disciplines, including cycling and basketball.
