Rwanda national basketball team head coach, Moïse Mutokambali, has named a 15-player squad for the 2016 U-18 Women Fiba/Africa Zone V Championships which will be held in Egypt in July.
Rwanda national basketball team head coach, Moïse Mutokambali, has named a 15-player squad for the 2016 U-18 Women Fiba/Africa Zone V Championships which will be held in Egypt in July.
The team trains twice a day at Amahoro Indoor Stadium, Remera. Mutokambali’s side will be competing with eleven teams and the top two teams will book places at the 2017 FIBA U19 Women’s World Championship that will be held in Italy.
Meanwhile, the Rwanda Basketball Federation (FERWABA) has handed Mutokambali a one-year contract extension until 2017. The Rwandan trainer replaced Serbian Veceslav Kavedzija two years ago.
Team: Kelia Bakareke Maranyundo (Fawe Girls School), Sandrine Cyuzuzo (College St Andre), Cynthie Phionah Ishimwe, Chance Mpogazi Uwase (College Inyemeramihigo), Emerance Muhoza (Lycee De Kigali ), Denyse Mwiseneza (Ste Marie Reine Muhanga) and O’nderatta Natacha Shimwa (Green Hills Academy).
Others are; Odile Tetero, Bahati Francine Tuyambaze, Marthe Twisungimana (College Inyemeramihigo) Nadine Umurungi (Esi Musanze), Phionna Umutoniwase (ENDP Karubanda), Chantal Utamuriza (College Inyemeramihigo), Noella Uwase (ENDP Karubanda) and Clementine Uwimana (College Inyemeramihigo).
