The local bourse will be closed today as it will be a holiday to mark Good Friday, The Rwanda Stock Exchange (RSE) indicated in its daily market report yesterday. Christians around the world mark the day in remembrance of Jesus’ crucifixion ahead of Easter Sunday that commemorates His resurrection from the dead. 

Meanwhile, Crystal Telecom shed Rwf3 to close at Rwf90 yesterday, from Rwf93 during the previous trading session on Wednesday, the market report indicates. The firm recorded a total turnover of Rwf4.9 million from 53,400 shares traded in four deals.

All the other counters were quiet.

The RSE Share Index dropped 0.30 points to close at 139.46, while the All Share Index was down by 0.04 points, closing at 129.69 yesterday, all driven by the declining Crystal Telecom share price.

Bralirwa closed at Rwf174, Bank of Kigali at Rwf280, and Equity Bank was at Rwf334. NMG closed at Rwf1,200, while KCB was at Rwf330, and Uchumi Supermarkets at Rwf104.
