Editor,

RE: "Equity Bank’s new boss pledges new products” (The New Times, March 18).

Was I not delighted to read in the news that Hannington Namara, the dynamic and enterprising former CEO of Rwanda Private Sector Federation, had been officially announced as the new Equity Bank Rwanda chief executive and managing director?

The affable Mr Namara, whom I knew well during his time at PSF, is always eager to support any good and innovative idea.

It is without a doubt that, under his able guidance, the well capitalised Equity Bank, with a customer base of over 390,000 and with total assets at Rwf92.8 billion (as of last year), will reach unprecedented heights and will soon see the introduction of a bouquet of new and most interesting banking products and services.

Wishing Mr Namara every success in his new assignment.
